From a young age, my path as a scholar/practitioner of alternative therapies began as I grappled with wellness challenges that traditional medicine couldn't address. Frustrated yet hopeful, I explored various holistic approaches encompassing nutrition, energy and spiritual work, movement, and the healing powers of nature. This exploration not only shaped my personal life but also ignited a passion for education in these fields. I dedicated myself to a continual path of learning, integrating a broad spectrum of life-enhancing practices into both my personal journey and professional endeavors. Through this commitment, I cultivated a deeper understanding of well-being, empowering myself and others to transcend conventional boundaries in pursuit of true health and vitality.

I offer support to others, based on my experiences and an intrinsic knowing of three principles:

  1. We each have within us exactly what we need to address our unique developmental and health needs.

  2. We are All. All. Right. There is nothing broken or bad happening. Everything we experience, not only fits in one way or another, it has purpose (see #1 ;).

  3. We are definitely able to navigate our own healing/developmental needs by ourselves, but sometimes the journey can be stream-lined with a little help.

Professional Pursuits

With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a minor in Biomedical Science, and an emphasis on Nutrition, I built a strong foundation in understanding the core principles of psychology, physiology, and nutritional support.

Moving on to earn Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Psychology with a concentration in Integrative Health, graduate work focused on the complex interplay between subjective experience and physiological response. This academic journey included structured studies in diverse fields such as personal coaching, energy medicine, biofeedback, hypnotherapy, and Buddhist healing—each contributing to a deepened understanding of the mind-body connection. As part of a two-year research study, I investigated the relationship between brainwave activity and heightened states of consciousness.

For over a decade, I have served as a professor of psychology, specializing in lifespan development, biopsychology, and research methods. In parallel, I maintain a private practice supporting individuals navigating a wide range of health and life transitions. My therapeutic work integrates hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and personalized nutritional and lifestyle interventions to address both physical and emotional challenges. I also frequently collaborate with other wellness professionals. Notable partnerships have included integrating hypnotherapy to deepen the effects of therapeutic massage and developing written content to complement multi-session healing journeys created in collaboration with a photographer specializing in transformative, narrative-based experiences.

This multifaceted academic and professional background allows me to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and integrative approaches. My goal is to help individuals release mental and physical patterns that may be limiting growth, healing, or forward movement through life’s developmental stages.
